Apr 1, 2014 - Ever had Photoshop stall when saving large files? I can say with 100% certainty this works with Adobe Photoshop CS6 / Windows 7.

Hello, I’ve been using InDesign for many years. A few months ago I went from CS3 (ID, PS, AI, DW) to the Creative Cloud subscription. Everything was CS6 at the time. I instantly began experiencing crashes in ID. Everything else is fine. I tried running ID CS3 as a backup, but even that began crashing (which it hadn’t before). I have been limping along, losing countless hours of work, missing deadlines.

I have tried the Adobe forums with no luck, so now I’ve landed on your doorstep, desperate, frustrated and angry. Best I can tell, the crashes are random.

It’s not when I’m doing any one or two things. Selecting an object, typing, saving, exporting to PDF, packaging. Sometimes it goes into perpetual crash-mode, where it repeatedly crashes on relaunch. The only way out of that situation is to restart the computer. On occasion, I can go an hour or two without a crash. Sometimes no more than a minute or two. (See list of error messages below.) And now a new one: I literally can no longer create a new document.

It crashes every single time. I can only open an existing document, rename it, delete all content and reformat it. But this only works maybe 30% of the time. The rest of the time it crashes ID. I have trashed the prefs. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program. Neither did anything.

I’m the sole user, there’s no network. Since CS6 has never worked, am I better off just downloading CC now and giving that a shot? Or will it likely just be more of the same? Can I have both CC and CS6 on my machine, or will CC overwrite CS6? I have projects in the works. If I upgrade (a relative term these days) to CC, will I be able to open CS6 documents with CC?

Bonus!: Today I was prompted to update Adobe Creative Cloud. I did, and it crashed during installation (Error code: A12E1).

I’ve pretty much lost all faith in InDesign, but I’m stuck using it. Can anyone help? My specs: iMac 3.1 Ghz Intel Core i5 24 GB RAM OS X 10.7.5 Sincerely, Chad — Typical error messages: Could not complete your request because of a database error The file “DBTmp2920” is damaged (Error code: 6).

Adobe InDesign is shutting down. A serious error was detected. Please restart InDesign to recover work in any unsaved InDesign documents. To add bank account o quickbooks for mac 2015. Wow, that is really bad. Ableton live crack for mac sierra.

I’m sorry to hear it. A few ideas: • Try creating a new user account on your computer. Then log out and log in under that account. See if InDesign works properly under the new account. If so, then it’s probably something to do with your system. • Make sure you’re not running any extra plug-ins.

Like if you installed CS3 plug-ins into CC, that could be trouble. • The fact that you’re getting these database errors makes me wonder about the files you’re using. So be sure to try working with new files first. David, Thanks for the reply. I created a new User account. Plus, there were some new problems.
