Quickbooks For Mac Real Estate

As it Also, this system is specifically created for processes most common for the individual real estate agent and is not the best tool for real estate brokerages. QuickBooks for Mac has been developed with the knowledge that most business users of Mac’s will need to communicate heavily with Windows users. Hi All, Husband and I are in our first year of business in Real Estate. We recently met with a CPA and he suggested Quickbooks for keeping track of day to day accounting.

We've used Excel in the past for keeping track of expenses but I want to lay the proper foundation now as the business grows. We both have Apple Macbooks.

I was about to order Quickbooks, but after some quick googling found there might be some issues with it on a Mac, as well as potentially problems sending info to CPA who uses windows (this info could be on outdated versions, however). Does anyone use Quickbooks for Mac? I came across a company called Realtyzam which offers a subscription based accounting software for real estate agents. Curious if anyone has used this. If so what do you think? It looks quite useful and is very reasonably priced. Thank you in advance for any help!

Wow, I was just coming on here to ask what everyone uses. I currently use Deductr to track expenses but am not happy with it. I also am strongly considering Realtyzam. At the moment I am most strongly considering Xero coupled with Expensify, in part because of Xero's integration with Google.

Must haves for me are: ease of use, computer based and app, ability to photograph receipts and have them automatically attach to correct entry, and even better would be a word recognition ability where it pulls most of the info from the receipt. I use Google for most office-related things, have an android phone, and have used H&R Block software for several years to file taxes. The benefit of Realtyzam, I am hoping, is that it would be more attuned to our specific industry instead of small businesses/independent contractors in general. I also like how it figures out for you the actual profit you make per closing taking into account all your related costs, as well as tracking where your marketing dollars have the most impact. Would much appreciate hearing about what others use and what they like/don't like about it.
