Mac Updates For Outlook 2011
Hello amitavaganguly - I took this back to my tech team and I have quite a bit of info / things for you to try here. Assuming you have the latest updates applied to Exchange 2010 and Office for Mac 2011 you may want to confirm that Basic Authentication has been turned on so that Mac clients can authenticate. That version of Outlook does not use Mapi but Exchange Web Services.
The process for rebuilding your identity is documented pretty well here: Rebuild the Outlook for Mac 2011 database to resolve problems. There's also a shorter, somewhat more visual overview here: Rebuilding Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac Database.
Also the EWS directory in IIS might have permission issues. In that case use these commands: Remove-WebServicesVirtualDirectory -Identity 'server ews (Default Web Site)' New-WebServicesVirtualDirectory After that, please perform IISreset /noforce on the server and try again. Additionally, there is a status indicator in the Accounts window. For a working account it should be green, but I am guessing that this user's is yellow/amber.
If that is the case, it might be easiest to delete the account and try setting it up again. Also it is helpful if auto discover is enabled on the Exchange server (. There are ways to monitor the logs as well to see if there are specific errors in the communication between the user’s system and the server. Also there have been issues with the older Office and El Capitan OSX. Microsoft has been releasing patches to fix some issues, but you might consider upgrading to Office 2016 and your Exchange version if possible or budgeted.
They use Activesync version 16 features now which is very important for mobility access. Really hope that some of this helps you out! Please let me know if I can be of further assistance!. Amitavaganguly wrote: Unfortunately cannot start a new post.
Please guide me so that I can post a new topic. Just start a new topic, like you did for this one.
Point being: If you're asking for help configuring your Exchange server, that needs to be a different, new post. The requirement for Outlook 2011 for Mac with Exchange is ' Update Rollup 4 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 or a later version.'
But your server still needs to be configured correctly, including the EWS component(s). What is the FQDN of your Exchange server? Can you lookup the server successfully from the Mac? While clicking on the 'New Discussion' I am getting the following messages.

You can also reach the Sonora level in other ways.
